Ohio: Homeowners' Insurance Slightly More in 2007 than Previous Year

Ohio homeowners on average paid a bit more for homeowners' insurance in 2007 than in 2006, according to a report from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

Statistics from the report indicate that Ohioans paid an average homeowners insurance premium of $548 in 2007, the most recent year data was available. In 2006, the average homeowners' insurance premium came in at $542.

Those figures were much lower than the national average homeowners' premium of $816, up from $801 in 2007.
